The paintings of Diana Harvey are the visible expressions of the deep mystery that is beauty and life.

The years spent studying great art in Madrid’s Prado Museum were seminal in Diana's artistic development. Earning a degree in archaeology, she returned to art and became an accomplished printmaker. Early success cemented her determination to become an artist, and thirty productive years have affirmed it.

Now exclusively painting, she has achieved associate membership in the prestigious Oil Painters of America and American Women Artists.

Her lyric images reflect her varied interests in myth, dream, poetry, history, and art.

Understanding awareness, waking or dreaming, is the quest of a lifetime which I’ve used to enrich my art. These glimpses of a deeper understanding keep me exploring, and give intrigue to my art, with a sense of knowingness, but without being able to say what it’s about.”
